(EstateNewsWire.com, December 23, 2012 ) Fort Lauderdale, FL -- The Graphics of the Americas Expo and Conference (GOA) has produced a study which forecasts a positive turn for the Latin American printing industry. The GOA considers Latin America a key audience for 2013.
Now in its 38th year, the GOA Printing Association of Florida is produced annually at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
The newest study revealed that Latin American printing has remained on a positive upswing for the previous 10 years. Furthermore, the industry is expected to grow an additional 4% for the 2013 fiscal year. The hypothesized GDP of Latin America is expected to 3.9% when coupled with the Caribbean.
The individual national economic growth are: Mexico at 3.5%; Brazil at 4%; Chile with a 4.4%; Colombia at 4.4%; Peru with a 5.8%; and finally Panama with a 7.5% tally.
“The findings in this latest report are not at all surprising to us,” said George Ryan, GOA president. “The very reason for the specialization of our show is the resounding success the printing industry is experiencing in Latin American countries. Our exhibitors and attendees are reporting growth year over year, even when the economy is not at its peak. This study is very promising and invigorating for our audience and those who serve it.”
The study reports that the packaging portion of the industry has the strongest outlook. A separate survey, Conversion Magazine of 2012, noted that a sustained growth for the three major categories.
The GOA's study found that the most dynamic of the sectors was that it modernized technologically, and it simultaneously retained a significant investment margin despite the ebb and flow of growth over the previous decade.
According to President of Agfa Graphics in Brazil, many of the printing presses in the industry have seen double-digit growth within the last decade.
