Atlas Worldwide Syndications and Distributions gains exclusive worldwide rights to On the Road with Judas

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 22, 2007 ) Charleston, SC, 22 October 2007 — Atlas Worldwide Syndications and Distributions is proud to announce the acquisition of distribution rights for the feature film On the Road With Judas. This is a brand new film which premiered at Sundance 2007 was a debut for writer/director J.J. Lask. On the Road with Judas features a talented cast including Aaron Ruell (Napoleon Dynamite), Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie) and Kevin Corrigan (Superbad and The Departed).Writer/director Lask originally wrote Judas as a novel, but when adapting his story into a film he took a major twist and included the strain of adaptation and the confusion of casting actors to portray his characters into the plot. Not only do Judas’ audiences see the “real” versions of Lask’s characters, they simultaneously witness actors imitating and attempting to understand the initial characters motivations and behaviors. “The storyline plays out like a written picture-in-a-picture,” said Atlas Worldwide VP of Film Acquisitions Scott Kirkpatrick, “It takes a minute to grasp, but before you know it the film is taking you for a ride.” Ultimately an honest and true to life revelation is made by our cast of lost 20-somethings—it will always be easier for us to live in a fantasy version of the truth than in the reality of the everyday world.On the Road with Judas will be featured in the 2007 American Film Institute Festival.
