Propecia Sexual Side Effects Continued After Drug Was Stopped: FDA

(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 14, 2012 ) New York, NY -- Propecia sexual side effects which persisted after use of the drug was stopped has led to changes in the labeling for this hair loss medication. The FDA has announced that new warnings will be added to the baldness-treatment medication linking it to libido problems and other Propecia sexual side effects which continued even after the medicine is stopped. If you experienced Propecia sexual side effects, including orgasm difficulties or ejaculation problems, after using the hair loss drug, you may be able to seek financial compensation for damages in light of claims that Merck failed to properly warn patients of this risk. To find out if you are eligible, visit http://www.classaction.org/propecia.html a free evaluation of your sexual side effect claim.

According to the FDA, the label for Propecia will include warnings about ejaculation, orgasm and libido problems which occur after patients stopped using the drug. Propecia’s packaging will also include reports of poor semen quality and infertility which normalized or improved after the patient discontinued use of Propecia. The FDA reviewed 421 reports of Propecia sexual dysfunction between 1998 and 2011 related to use of the drug. Of these reports, 59 users claimed that their sexual problems continued longer than three months after use of the drug had been stopped. Last year, the FDA announced that the label for the hair loss drug was to be revised to include information regarding persistent Propecia erectile dysfunction.

Patients who claim that they have suffered from persistent Propecia sexual problems may have legal recourse. Potentially, these individuals may be able to file a Propecia lawsuit seeking compensation for medical bills, emotional anguish, injury and loss of quality life, among other damages. A number of Propecia lawsuits have already been filed, and the attorneys working with ClassAction.org are offering a free online consultation to help other Propecia users determine their eligibility for legal recourse. If you experienced sexual problems after Propecia use, visit ClassAction.org today for a no cost, no obligation review of your claim.
