Direct Mortgage Lender New American Funding Participates in Holiday Toy Drive

(EMAILWIRE.COM, December 20, 2011 ) Irvine, CA -- This year marked the third year in a row that New American Funding, a national leader in mortgage banking, participated in Families Uniting FamiliesÂ’ Holiday Friend Program called Hope for the Holidays. The toys donated in the drive benefit underprivileged children living in foster families in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

Families Uniting Families is a nonprofit organization comprised of child welfare advocates and professionals dedicated to providing care and support for children 0-20 years of age in Orange and Los Angeles counties. Beyond providing providing care and support, they also offer tutoring, independent living/emancipation guidance, nutrition support, extra-curricular activities, and a professional internship program.

This December, New American Funding divided up in to a total of 17 teams, with each team adopting a child for whom to buy gifts The toys collected through the drive ranged from bicycles with helmets, to slippers, to basketballs, to the card game UNO. The Families Uniting Families team members were excited and overwhelmed by the amount of gifts that the New American Funding teams contributed. On top of that, many New American Funding team members donated money to the organization, making the toy drive a great success.

The mortgage banker has participated in several charitable events throughout the year and supports a number of local charities, including: Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, Colette's Children's Home and HomeAid OC.
