 (EMAILWIRE.COM, December 17, 2011 ) Princeton, Texas -- Former personal money management educator, Bonnie Bolin Peterson, has authored a timely book, Credit Score Warrior, to uncover the truth about how credit really works and offer a do-it-yourself guide to help consumers recover from the economic downturn.
The Executive Office of the United States Trustees, Department of Justice approved PetersonÂ’s original manuscript for the education segment of the 2005 Bankruptcy Legislation. Peterson was the education and marketing director for a nationally affiliated non-profit credit counseling agency and was responsible for written materials developed for seminars and workshops designed to give consumers the necessary skills to reduce or eliminate debt.
In this revised edition, Peterson has included proven techniques not commonly known, that have proven to be very effective in preventing foreclosure, stopping nasty credit collection calls, preventing bankruptcy and paying down debt in record time.
“At the conclusion of my personal money management seminars I got the same basic questions from the audience asking me how were they to save for family emergencies, education or retirement when their entire paycheck goes toward paying credit cards, mortgage or rent, and monthly expenses,” Peterson said. “I felt they deserved to know there were ways, with proper planning and discipline, to be completely debt-free in a tenth of the average time, and that those ways would also include paying off their mortgage.”
The book relates the challenges faced by a typical family of four navigating rough financial trials, and ultimately recovering from devastating debt and loss following bankruptcy. Tactics and strategies are explained in everyday language on how to attract permanent wealth; how to achieve goals; how to defend against identity theft; a fun action-plan on making a vision-board a reality; and frugal budgeting tips.
Highlights include PetersonÂ’s revelation of a little-known technique for reducing credit card debt by 50 percent with no additional outlay, and simple, effective ways to pay bills on time.
The book argues these questions:
• How can a debtor actually raise their credit scores in the face of looming credit card debt?
• Did the CARD Act of 2010 help consumers, or help to fill credit card company’s coffers?
• Debt settlement, debt consolidation or credit counseling, do they offer debt relief or do they make matters worse?
• Can bankruptcy and or foreclosure be prevented?
Peterson never judges or blames. Getting into the debt quagmire is a slippery slope in which many find themselves, especially today. She instead delivers sound financial content that is not only useful, but also necessary for anyone unsure of his or her footing in the current tough economic climate.
