Blood has a way of getting into some very tight spaces especially if guns are used. Blood can seep into the floorboards of a house and also into the walls if the floor is uneven. This means that the baseboards must be taken out and sometimes you need to replace the wood paneling and wall paper.
It is important to do a clean job and to remove all necessary blood and bone matter. These are things that the average cleaning company will miss.
