(EMAILWIRE.COM, May 13, 2010 ) Chicago, IL - In order to provide dealer support for MEGA Group's appliance retailers, the merger will include management and technical training, education, government relations and marketing programs.
"We are excited to bring our retailer partners this alliance with MEGA Group's,” Dolbeare said as part of the announcement. Dolbeare is also a Vice President of USA.
"United Servicers Association is a highly respected leader in the industry and they have a strong reputation for having professional management and trainers. Their programs will help our dealers bring bring even better service programs to their businesses, ultimately increasing their profits and impacting their bottom line."
As one of the USA speakers, James Dolbeare of AAA Appliance Service Center of Chicago will be participating in the recently announced alliance between MEGA Buying Group and the United Servicers Association. MEGA Group is a 1500 member (2300 store front), national buying group of independent Appliance, Furniture, Mattress, Electronics, and Lawn & Garden retailers.
The industry trend toward consolidation has made it increasingly difficult for independent retailers to compete with the national chain stores. Quite simply, the difference between an independentÂ’s and a national chain storeÂ’s costs stack the odds against the independent retailer. MEGA Group is specifically designed to provide a solution to this problem, by leveling the playing field!
United Services AssociationÂ’s mission and purpose is to develop and provide services and programs intended to assist member retailers in building strong businesses in North America's competitive environment. These services shall include but not limited to: Educational and Training Programs; Government Lobbying; Manufacturer relations; Management, Marketing and Operational Programs; and Peer Group Formation & Facilitation.
AAA Appliance Service Center of Chicago was founded as a family business named AAA Service Company in suburban Kansas City in 1950 by brothers Charlie and Dale Dolbeare. Dale was drafted by the Chicago Bears, and immediately thereafter by Uncle Sam. In 1958, after Charlie passed away and Dale was discharge from the army, Dale opened the first Chicago location of AAA Service Company in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
Legend holds that the reason for the 'AAA' part of the name was that the Fairway, Kansas office was an old remodeled gas station. Since it had a Triple A Motor Club sign, Charlie was too “frugal” to let a perfectly good sign go to waste; hence, AAA Service Company was born.
AAA Appliance is also the exclusive home to Chicago’s appliance guru, "Mr. Fix It"®!
