Defective Chinese Drywall Information Center Provided by Morgan & Morgan

(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 05, 2009 ) Orlando, FL - ForThePeople.com, the website for national plaintiffÂ’s law firm Morgan & Morgan, is now offering a Defective Chinese Drywall Information Center for Florida homeowners. The defective drywall has been linked to health issues for individuals who live and work in affected buildings, as well as costly electrical problems.

Shortages in drywall products during 2004-06 led builders and construction companies to import drywall from China for use in the construction of homes, apartments, and buildings in Florida. However, problems with the drywall have led to a class action lawsuit alleging that it was made with waste material from Chinese coal-fired power plants. These waste materials can leak into the air and emit harmful sulfur compounds, including sulfur dioxide and hydrogen sulfide. Knauf Plasterboard Tianjin, a Chinese drywall manufacturer, has been linked to the defective drywall, and Miami-based building company Lennar Homes has said it used Knauf drywall in some of its homes.

Signs that your home may be affected by the defective drywall include a strong sulfurous odor and frequent problems with air conditioning units, wiring, or plumbing. Due to the odors and toxic omissions that the imported Chinese drywall produces, some of the homes and buildings affected have become uninhabitable. Heath problems have also been linked to the defective drywall. Young children and the elderly are at the greatest risk of suffering from the respiratory problems, irritated eyes, frequent headaches, and nose bleeds that have linked to homes and buildings with defective Chinese drywall.

To learn more about the defective Chinese drywall, visit http://www.forthepeople.com/defective_chinese_drywall.htm. Morgan & MorganÂ’s defective product attorneys are offering a free legal case evaluation for those who believe their health and homes have been affected by the defective drywall. If you have noticed the signs of defective Chinese drywall in your home, fill out the form on the right side of the page to find out about your legal rights and options for pursuing compensation.
