(EstateNewsWire.com, December 11, 2012 ) Rio Rancho, New Mexico – Last year, when Ortega's Appliance Service Today, Inc. was involved with the food drive for the Roadrunner® Food Bank of New Mexico, they collected over 4,000 pounds of food from the community to redistribute to the community.
For 2012, Ortega's once again participated in the food drive. If a service customer contributed three non-perishable food items, Ortega's gave a discount on the customers' appliance repair bill by $10. Throughout the drive, they will be collected the donations and ensured the donations got to the Roadrunner® Food Bank for weighing, storage and redistribution to those in need in the community.
This year's food drive ran from 1 October 2012 to 31 October 2012; but hunger knows no season or month. The Roadrunner® Food Bank of New Mexico schedules events and activities all year long for the community to participate in.
