Unfair Overdraft Complaints from Bank of the Ozarks Customers Available To Be Reviewed by Attorneys

(EstateNewsWire.com, November 28, 2012 ) New York, NY – The attorneys working with ClassAction.org are available to review complaints from Bank of the Ozarks customers who suspect they were unfairly charged overdraft fees. It has been alleged that the bank may be reordering their customers’ transactions to maximize the amount of overdraft fees they can charge. If you have noticed that your transactions are being processed out of the order in which they were made, you may have legal recourse to seek compensation for any unnecessary overdraft fees you were charged. To learn more about ClassAction.org’s investigation into unfair overdraft charges, please visit http://www.classaction.org/unfair-overdraft-protection-fees.html. On the site, consumers can receive a free case review to help determine whether they have legal recourse.

A number of the nation’s largest banks have already been hit with lawsuits alleging they manipulated their customers’ transactions to unfairly increase overdraft charges. Specifically, these suits claimed that the banks were processing transactions in a highest-to-lowest sequence, rather than the order in which they were made. As a result, the customers saw their account balances deplete more quickly than they should, which increased the number of overdraft fees they were charged, according to the suits. It has been alleged that these practices were not fully or accurately disclosed to consumers. At least 14 banks have agreed to multi-million dollar settlements related to overdraft charges.

Although most major banks have already faced legal action concerning overdrafts, the attorneys working with ClassAction.org have launched an investigation into smaller, regional banks to determine whether they have also engaged in this practice. If you believe you were unfairly charged overdraft fees by Bank of the Ozarks, which has branches in Georgia, Texas, Florida and Alabama, or any other regional bank, please visit ClassAction.org today for a free, no obligation review of your charges.
