Florida Landscape Contractors Now Offer High Tech Design Solutions

(EstateNewsWire.com, November 14, 2012 ) Orlando, Florida – Quite easily, the last words that come to most people's minds when they're admiring a well-designed landscape job are 'high-tech'. But then again, if one takes a moment to consider it, it really is hard to find anything today that hasn't been affected by high-tech solutions in one form or another.

So now Florida landscape contractors are also finding themselves relying on high-tech systems and products that they're integrating into their projects to achieve effects, while they also allow these to better serve their clients.

Today's high-tech, solar-powered outdoor solar lighting systems, for example, have become very popular for a few good reasons. For one thing, they're sturdier, reliable and have longer service lives than earlier systems. Also, self-contained solar lighting systems do away with the need for trenching to access standard power.

Breakthroughs in LED lighting production technologies have made them more affordable, which in turn has worked to drive the trend is string lighting wrapped tree trunks that can now be seen in around homes and businesses across Florida.

Florida landscape contractors are also quick to point out that all solar systems are low-voltage, so they require lighter gauge wiring and also completely do away with the risk of electric shock.

So to find out more about this growing trend in high-tech landscaping, we recently contacted the client support representative for greener-gardens.com, and he was able to provide us with more information.

He said that, “It's not just lighting, because now there's a broad range of high-tech products they really do sell themselves. We install a lot of battery-operated watering timers in areas where it would be too expensive to run underground electrical power conduit. Then solar powered water features, such as self-contained fountains and waterfalls, come ready to go just as soon as they're filled, and go through a lot of them. For businesses owners and managers, in particular, though, they are looking for ways to promote themselves in the local community as being carbon friendly. So having a solar panel displayed in their landscaping to power their lighting, water features and timers or whatever else, is a great way to do just that.”

He further went on to point out that because there is no underground trenching and electrical conduit required for self-contained, low-voltage solar landscaping accessories, there's no permit required either.

They're also the perfect solution for lighting schemes and designs where an existing sidewalk, patio or driveway stands in the way of running a line for access to power. Serving the greater Orlando area and surrounding communities, Greener Gardens has developed some of Orlando’s most distinctive landscapes for residences, commercial buildings and academic facilities.
