(EstateNewsWire.com, October 28, 2012 ) San Francisco, CA- Although the economy is leaving many wealthy individuals in a state of pessimism, most millionaires are satisfied with their investment firms and their financial adviser, according to the St. Louis based Maritz Research.
The research firm based these claims after polling 175 millionaires, with more than 1 million dollars in investments.
28% of millionaires said they believe that the economy is in good shape, while 57% think that the economy is improving. Two thirds are expecting their taxes to increase within the next two years.
Rich Brose, the senior director of strategic consulting in Maritz Research of Financial Services Research group, “There’s still some uncertainty in the market and they’re still cautious about the economy,” he said.
He reflected that, “They’re pretty much in line with the entire population there.” However, millionaires are satisfied, for the most part, with the treatment of their wealth.
Nearly 85% said they are satisfied with their investment firms, which is an improvement from the sixty-seven who thought the same in 2010.
Three quarters of respondents are satisfied with their financial advisors and how they have managed their finances in such a difficult economic time. This figure is an increase from the 58% who thought the same in 2010.
“Financial advisors probably realized in order for them to retain their business, they really needed to focus on providing good, sage advice to their clients,” Brose explains this increase in satisfaction.
He predicts more optimism and satisfaction “as long as folks think we’re moving in the right direction and their investments are sound.”
