(EstateNewsWire.com, October 16, 2012 ) Hot on the heels of its latest retail launch, Wall Sticker Outlet presented themselves as an exhibitor at this year's New York Comic Con. Located at booth 3250 of the Jacob Javits center, the four-day event saw an amazing turn out for the company's superhero wall stickers and comic book cover wall decals.
"The turnout was incredible!" said Gregory Brown, booth facilitator. "I've never seen so many people in one place, every single one of them excited for the products we carry."
Comic Con New York appeals to a mass audience of both youngsters and adults, with themes heavily entrenched in comic book culture. Wall Sticker Outlet's booth carried both DC and Marvel super hero decals, all of which used the peel-and-stick technology that's made decorating with wall stickers so popular in recent years.
"Our booth had peelable demonstrations," Brown explained, "showing how easy it is to decorate with these types of wall decals. You can apply them to any smooth surface, and they can be removed and repositioned whenever and wherever you need them."
Some of the more popular decals included the Avengers-themed heroes: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, and Thor. With the recent success of The Avengers movie, these giant-sized wall stickers were quickly sold out within the first two days of the four-day event. Traditional superheroes such as Superman, Spiderman, and Batman were big favorites as well. Also popular amongst the NYCC crowd were Star Wars decals, especially with actress Carrie Fisher - the iconic Princess Leia - making an appearance and signing autographs at the show.
"Princess Leia sold out the first day," Brown laughed. "But people also bought everything from our Transformers stickers to our Super Mario Brothers decals. In fact, the Super Mario products were wildly popular, probably because Nintendo's booth showed off their new Wii, as well as a new Super Mario game for their DS3 console."
Wall Sticker Outlet's appearance at the 2012 Comic Con NY comes immediately after their latest retail store launch: a wall decal superstore located at the Smith Haven mall, Lake Grove NY. The store, which opened earlier in the month, carries all of the decals featured at NYCC plus many more decorating options for boys, girls, and even home decorating with removable wall stickers. They even have a section of their store dedicated to holiday wall decor. Residents of eastern Long Island are invited to check out their other retail location at Suite 300 of the Tanger Outlets in Riverhead, NY.
