TargetSAT Launches Unique Online SAT Math Preparatory Course

(EMAILWIRE.COM, October 09, 2007 ) CHICAGO, IL -- TargetSAT, the premier provider of online SAT Mathematics Preparatory Courses, has launched its revolutionary course with a state-of-the-art website, unique audio-visual training and teaching methodology and an option for six separate training course packages to maximize students’ ability to achieve higher SAT Mathematics scores. With an interactive whiteboard and full audio explanation of over 500 Math problems specifically chosen for core math content and to simulate the types and styles of questions on the current SAT Mathematics sections, TargetSAT allows student subscribers to rework, solve, and take the time to completely comprehend the concepts and basics of each question. The use of a whiteboard with accompanying audio explanations gives step-by-step information on these problems with complete solutions. Additionally, 5 practice SAT Math tests are provided with full explanation and test-taking strategies and tips provided each step of the way. While SAT math scores had been climbing for the past few years, College Board officials have announced that the Class of 2007 has posted lower math scores than the previous class. Average scores in mathematics were 494, showing a 3 point decline from the Class of 2006. This represents a .60% decline. While experts debate over the reasons for this, many experts agree that test preparation is an asset to achieving higher scores. As little as ten years ago test preparation was both an expensive and difficult proposition for students and their families. Faced with costly investments in courses that were cumbersome, structured and hard to find, students and their parents were faced with a dilemma. Addressing the needs of this market, the educational team at TargetSAT (www.targetsat.com) designed the courses to be extremely affordable; to be accessed when students have time in their schedules filled with sports, extracurricular activities and the demands of school work; and to allow students to learn and comprehend at their own pace.Math panic is a real and devastating factor that affects many students’ performance. Even students who are quite proficient in math find panic an issue when taking the SAT. The anxiety surrounding test taking coupled with strenuous time constraints makes the math sections especially stressful for test-takers. We have designed the TargetSAT prep course to provide students with time management skills and strategies that maximize effectiveness and knowledge of math. In addition to individual test taking strategies, practice testing seriously lessens a student’s anxiety and apprehension surrounding the SAT. TargetSAT is offering a course-revenue sharing program with secondary schools who sponsor the course through their school or Parents Associations, as well as a TargetSAT Pilot Program to illustrate the added math comprehension for students who are participants in our Pilot Program. School educators or Parent Associations officials can request complete details at: marketing@targetsat.com .About TargetSAT – The Educational and Management team of TargetSAT has been in the testing and tutoring fields for over 20 years. Our sister organization, WinGMAT, is an online preparatory course designed for improving scores on the Mathematics section of the GMAT. After our success with hundreds of applicants to business schools, we recognized the need for bringing this type of multi-media technology and learning method to students at the preparatory school level and developed TargetSAT to meet the needs of students challenged by SAT Math.
